Kai is a visiting PhD student in the BIOR Lab. His doctoral research at the E.ON Energy Research Center of RWTH Aachen University sits at the intersection of machine learning and operational optimization for district-level energy supply systems. Specifically, he focuses on machine learning model adaptation for district heat load forecasting, aiming for reliable, autonomous, and practice-oriented long-term deployment amid changing energy system configurations. Outside the lab, Kai enjoys exploring new food, staying active through fitness and jogging, and unwinding with gaming.
